It’s never too early to start STEM and robotics. FIRST Lego League Jr. (FLL Jr.) offers the opportunity for young students to work in a team to learn programming, engineering, teamwork, and presentation skills. Interested? World Championship-winning robotics team Wizards.exe is offering an 8 session FLL Jr. program at the Rockville Memorial Library for students in grades K-3. Participants will explore a real-world scientific problem -- this year about construction and building -- by creating and programming a motorized LEGO model which demonstrates a solution to a building-related problem. At the end of the session, teams come together at an expo to interact with other teams, present to reviewers, participate in fun activities, and receive recognition for their work. The program will be held on most Monday nights from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, from October 21 to January 13th. Sign up here. Any questions? Email wizards.exe@gmail.com.
